My place is close to Glennallen and on the road system. It is a private cabin with a full kitchen, nice living room, futon, large loft with a queen and full size bed and walk in closet, bathroom with a shower. It has a Smart TV with a DVD player. The kitchen includes some breakfast items. Our cabin is close to the Klutina, Copper and Tazlina rivers. We are close to stores and are 5 min from the Wrangell St. Elias National Park headquarters. We have a view of the mountains close by. Parking place is available for free. The cabin has 600 sq. feet.

Alpine Creek Lodge is in the heart of the Alaska Range on the Denali Highway between Cantwell and Paxson. This is a very unique property, and a new lodge. The nearest town is over 70 miles away! No neighbors for 26 miles. The lodge sits on the South Facing slopes at the foot of a long since receded glacier. Alpine Creek is spring fed and runs year round. We are open year round, and in the winter the Denali Highway is not plowed. Traveling into the lodge in winter via snowmobile is amazing! The Aurora Borealis is seen on most clear winter nights, and is an unforgettable experience. This is our first time as hosts and we are excited to offer our adorable mountain cabin as perfect retreat from the all those many demands on your life. This cabin was built in 2015 and is both modern as well as rustic. The cabin is only 12 minutes from Palmer and sits on 10 quiet acres of wooded land. The amenities include a large jetted Jacuzzi tub, free washer/dryer, covered porch, propane grill, fenced in yard, sandbox, garden, etc... We are sure you will fall in love with this spot!

Lazy Mountain Hideaway is a large private living space in the lower level of our home. 1904 square feet, with separate entrance and parking. The two bedrooms each have full size beds with new Tuft & Needle memory foam mattresses. There is also a new sleeper sofa in the family room with a queen airbed. There is also a flat screen television with local channels and Roku with several streaming apps.The Jack & Jill bathroom includes a shower and a tub for soaking; hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and locally made soap are provided. Wifi is available. The guest kitchen includes refrigerator, gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, French coffee press, cookware, dishes, silverware and utensils. We provide coffee and tea, and local organic farm fresh eggs when available. The laundry has front loading washer and dryer with detergent, fabric softener, ironing board and iron. There is a new propane barbecue grill on the guest patio, where guests can check out the vegetable garden and the amazing mountain views and sunsets. The home sits on 21 acres on the shoulder of Lazy Mountain, just 7 miles northeast of Palmer. Guests can go for walks, cross country ski, snowshoe on trails without ever having to leave the property. Moose live in the area, and can be seen any time of the year; in the spring they will have calves with them. Neighbors raise bison and elk, and also board horses. Mountain views abound. Guests love our proximity to Palmer, the Alaska State Fair, Hatcher Pass, Matanuska Glacier, the Musk Ox and Reindeer farms, Lazy Mountain hikes, and more. One of the best things about Lazy Mountain Hideaway is the peace and quiet. Owls can be heard calling to each other at night! And, if you're here at the right time of year, Northern Lights will be a special treat. For guests who stay three nights or longer, we will provide a large loaf of hot homemade French bread upon request (see photo).

The lighting is also quite versatile, with dimmer switches, undermount lighting in kitchen, motion sensor lights in walkways, and blackout blinds and curtains in bedrooms. Local attractions include: the reindeer farm, musk ox farm, Alaska State Fair, Knik and Matanuska Glacier, Palmer's local farmer's market Friday Fling, and many wonderful curiosity shops. Come and sleep in the trees in Alaska!  This cabin is a free standing treehouse (up in the trees but not attached to the trees).  It is a 3 story cabin with that is accessed by a swinging bridge!   It has a kitchenette area and a bathroom with a shower.   It offers a king size bed on the 2nd floor with a spiral staircase going up to  the 3rd floor where there are hammock chairs to sit in and admire the view.  There is also  a hammock available for a third guest on the lower floor, if desired.  There is a shared laundry room in our Office/Gift Shop. We don't offer a sit down breakfast but you will find a complimentary snack crate in the cabin and a breakfast basket with a few complimentary breakfast items. Though it feels secluded, it is only 5 minutes to downtown Palmer, where there are several shops, breweries and restaurants that exemplify the quaint, Alaskan pioneer spirit.The Palmer property is close to the Alaska State Fair, close to local hiking areas, and only about a twenty minute drive to the start of the Itidarod Race. Palmer is filled with history, as it was established for non-Alaskan Natives in the 1930s. Many historic sites are found in Palmer for the history buff, and the original pioneer cabin is right next to this home that was built by the original pioneer family in the 1970s. For the outdoor enthusiast, there are challenging hikes in the area. Lazy Mountain hiking trail is very close, which is a four mile hike that has an elevation climb of almost 3,000 feet. Hatcher's Pass is another popular hike and ski area within a 10-15 minute drive. For animal enthusiasts, there are local reindeer and musk ox farms for touring. There are several lakes in the area for canoeing, fishing, and boating, all within a 15-30 minute drive. Equipment is available for rent in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Four-wheelers and snowmobiles are also available for rent in the area for those who want to see Alaska from off-road. Within minutes, there are several fun places on the water: Many Wasilla area lakes, Matanuska River Park, Knik River State Park, Matanuska Lake State Park, Palmer Hay Flats Wildlife Refuge -- all great for fishing and wildlife watching. Palmer is also a fantastic town that serves as a great starting point for travelers who would like to take day trips to see Southern Alaska. Many day trips could include historic Talkeetna with its views of Mt. McKinley (1.5 hours), the Matanuska glacier and glacier hikes (1 hour), Dall Sheep viewing on Sheep Mountain (1.5 hours), Girdwood and Alyeska ski resort (1.5 hours), Whitewater rafting (1 hour), and several stopping points for Salmon fishing throughout the Alaska rivers. This home could serve as the perfect home for large family and friend trips, retreats, or a gathering place for wedding guests. From Palmer the drive to the cabin in the woods is 7 miles of paved roads(10 minutes). The cabin in the woods is located on 5 rural acres with a short drive up the mountain to the cabin. The main cabin is all log . One bedroom, large living room, spacious kitchen and bathroom in 576 sq ft. Tastefully furnished yet rustic. The kitchen has full size appliances and is well stocked with everything you will need except for food. The bedroom has a queen size bed. The deck out front looks out over the valley and is covered with clear panels to let in all the light. It is 10’ by 24’ and features a gas grill, table and chairs for 4 and lots of extra room for folding deck chairs. Beside the deck is a fire pit well stocked with wood. The second bedroom is a stand alone cabin just feet from the main cabin. 144 sq ft with a queen size bed, armoire and flatscreen tv. Our location in the famous Matanuska Valley gives you a centralized yet rural location to start your exploration of the great state of Alaska starting from the spacious front covered deck. The view stretches from the Knik River valley in the east , scans all the way along the Chugach Mountain Range including 3300foot(1005 meters) high Pioneer Peak to the Cook Inlet and far off Anchorage in the South West. From the Muskox farm just 10 minutes down the road to beautiful Hatcher Pass and its Historic hard rock gold mines to the Pioneer Museum in downtown Palmer you will run out of time before you run out of things to see and do. A 1 hour drive north up the Glenn Highway(hwy 1) is some of the most spectacular scenery the road system has to offer. At the end of that hour you will be at the Matanuska Glacier for the photo op of a lifetime. A must do drive. On the way back don’t forget to stop off at Sheep Mtn. lodge for a wonderful meal. Be sure and glass the mountain peaks behind the lodge for its namesake, Dall sheep. An hour the opposite direction is the eagle river nature center amid towering peaks on three sides. Walking trails will take you into the heart of this beautiful valley. If you haven't had enough hiking on the way back you can drive up the mountain to Thunderbird falls(a short hike) and beautiful Eklutna lake, the main source of Anchorages drinking water. Driving north on the Parks Highway (hwy 3) is also scenic with lots of places to stop and take pictures. The turnoff to Talkeetna is 2 hrs from the cabin. If it is a clear day the trip into Talkeetna could yield a fantastic view of Mt McKinley from the pull out just before you start down the hill into town. Once back out to the main highway continue north and look for the pull out once you have crossed Hurricane Gulch. This 1050 ft (320 meters) span is a breathtaking 254 feet(77 meters) above the white water of Hurricane Creek. Another 63 miles will put you at the turnoff to Denali Park. This is a long day trip so as evening approaches, even though the sun doesn’t set until close to midnight be on the look out for moose and caribou on the way home.

Welcome to your Alaskan log home experience. We live for the adventurous Alaskan outdoors and our home reflects that. It's the traditional Alaskan Log home hand made by us with a spiral log staircase and a mosaic tile fireplace setting for the wood stove. We started as a simple log cabin and as our family grew, so did our home. Now we'd love to share it with you. The property is nestled next to state land with endless trails and mountains behind us. The yard is large enough for small events with a picture perfect Alaskan cache on the edge of the property. Traditionally, caches were above-ground cabins used to store food away from wild animals, but we use ours as a fort for our children to play in. It's a perfect place to take group photos. You can also enjoy a simple dinner of hot dogs and s'mores outside around the fire-pit while your kids play on the swing set and enjoy the hammock overlooking the large yard. There is an endless trail system behind the house, we are right next to state land. It's perfect for taking your four-wheelers out for a ride or go for a morning run. In the winter you can access groomed cross-country ski trails or just take the snow-machines/snowmobiles right from the yard. We have the lot next door up on the hill so you'll never see us unless you need us. We have a code lock for entry. We should be here all summer but there is a chance we may be out enjoying Alaska (it's fishing season!) in our motorhome, but if we're not here we have other family in the neighborhood who will be available to help you with anything you need.

There is a queen bed in the bedroom and extra blankets. We have a queen air mattress available upon request. Rest assured that all bedding, including blankets and comforter, are washed after each guest’s stay. There is plenty of closet and storage space. Hot water heater, Keurig, small coffee maker, coffee, creamer, tea, cold beverages, and fun snacks provided for our guests. Kitchen has a full refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, and microwave. The apartment has the basics needed for cooking and eating. We are happy to try to provide anything extra (blender, rice cooker, slow cooker etc.) that you may need, upon request. Bathroom is roomy and clean and has a full tub and spray shower nozzle. We provide plenty of towels. Wifi and TV (Netflix) are included in your stay. If you have kids, we have toys and books in the rental for your use. We have a washer and dryer in our attached garage that may be used upon request and for a small fee. We can provide detergent if needed. While the rental is located in a residential neighborhood, there is a beautiful field behind the house that is perfect for walking, hiking, and skiing. You have fresh mint and chives growing right outside your door for your use. We have a dog on the property but we will do our best to keep her on the opposite side of the home. She may bark when you first arrive or leave. While we do not allow pets in the rental, pet hair travels so this would not be an appropriate spot for someone that is allergic to dogs. We do have children and the rental/ house are not soundproof but we will always do our utmost to respect your privacy. If you need to borrow anything, just let us know. We will do our best to help you and make your stay comfortable.

This space is completely brand new inside from floor to ceiling and features solid surface and marble counter tops, a large bathroom with tile surround shower, a bed with built-in USB charging ports, UHD TV, stainless steel appliances, and more! Colony Suites come with a fully furnished kitchen for cooking! Feel free to utilize the kitchen or take a short walk to one of the many places to eat in Palmer. Enjoy our free WiFi on-site and relax with your favorite show or movie as Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu subscriptions are all included with your stay. Upon request, a child's crib and an air mattress for the floor to sleep additional guests can be provided. Suite 7 has one queen bed in the bedroom and a second full sized bed from the pull-out couch. Guests have full access to use anything inside the space and also coin operated washer/dryer on site in a dedicated laundry room. Check-in and check-out is all done remotely to give our guests a smooth and seamless process for coming and going. We are always available via message or text if the need arises. Being in the heart of Palmer, your suite is within walking distance to many places to eat, have coffee, enjoy a pint from a local micro brewery, or go window shopping! Local fairs, parades, and even a drive-up movie are available throughout the year. If you have questions regarding local events during your stay, feel free to ask us what you might be able to take advantage of! Fish or game processing/cleaning is not allowed on the property. We are located near the Alaska State Fair Grounds, outside city limits in the farm area. These New Bungalows have an unobstructed view of Pioneer Peak, that showcases amazing sunsets. The Bungalow Sleep 4, with a Queen Bed and a *American Leather* Tempur-pedic , No Bar- pull out sleeper. All bungalows have a kitchen area, counter with bar stools and full bathroom. This house was the residence for the original Colony manager. Conveniently located in Downtown Palmer and within walking distance of the local visitors center, Colony House Museum, restaurants, shopping and other local attractions. The house provides three bedrooms with one and a half baths. The bedrooms are cozy, comfortable and will make you feel at home. The main bathroom is upstairs with a bathtub and shower, the 1/2 bath is located downstairs in the Peony Room (entry way). The house has a fully stocked kitchen with a fridge, microwave, stove and oven, and also includes a full laundry room in the basement. There is plenty of space to move around and cook all the wonderful meals you plan. The grocery store is also just a short jaunt away from the house and easily accessible. Inside the living room, enjoy reading books next to the fireplace. The living room features art from local artists,. Lazy boy recliners add to your comfort. The windows provide plenty of light; you can see the Colony Inn across the street. No Pets, No Smoking, No Vaping.
